Reorganization Update

Napa Valley College is pleased to announce that Adaptive Physical Education (Adaptive PE) will be reintroduced through NVC Community Education as fee-based, late-start courses beginning in September 2026. 

Adaptive PE courses are made possible through an ongoing gift from Napa Valley College Foundation donor Evelyn Allen, whose generous support helps expand access to inclusive fitness and movement opportunities for individuals with disabilities. 

Adaptive PE has transitioned to Community Education and will return as part of the Fall 2026 schedule. NVC recognizes the tremendous value these classes provide to participants, families, caregivers, and the broader community and appreciates the patience and support shown throughout this transition. 

Fall 2026 Community Education Offerings 

Adaptive PE courses will begin on September 21, 2026. 

To support a successful relaunch, classes will begin later in the Fall 2026 semester. Beginning in Spring 2027, courses are expected to follow the standard academic calendar. 

  • Four Adaptive PE courses offered each semester 
  • Two classes held Mondays and Wednesdays 
  • Two classes held Tuesdays and Thursdays 
  • Offered during Fall and Spring semesters 
  • Course fee: $85 per course 
  • Fall 2026 session: September 21鈥揇ecember 10, 2026

Evelyn Allen Adaptive PE Community Education 

The Adaptive Physical Education (PE) program provides inclusive, individualized fitness and movement instruction for individuals with disabilities, promoting physical health, confidence, and lifelong wellness. 

Registration requires documentation from a partner agency or medical professional.

 Does NVC require paid parking?


Yes. Parking permits are required 7 DAYS A WEEK, for all vehicles parked at Napa Valley College and River Trail Village. Please visit (copy and paste) https://www.napavalley.edu/about/campus-information/parking.html for more information.

 
Do I need to pay for parking if I have a disabled license plate or placard?


No. Students who possess a disabled license plate or placard issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles are authorized to park free in any space except red zones.

 
Where do I pay for daily parking?


$3.00 DAILY PERMIT OPTIONS:

Machine Daily Permit
$3 daily permit can be purchased at parking permit machine located in LOT B, front of NVC near the flag poles. Cash or Card.

OR

Pay by Phone Daily Permit
$3 daily digital permit. Text NVCMAIN to 25023.

 
Where do I pay for a semester parking permit?


Semester Permit $50 Spring/Fall and $25 Summer parking permit. Must be ordered online.

Semester parking permits are digital and registered to your license plate. (YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A PHYSICAL PERMIT.)
